NHBA Muster Field Picnic

Hello Everyone!

I have some updated information involving our July 29th Musterfield picnic. The event was in great peril of cancellation after reviewing  NHBA’s financial health. I am pleased to inform you that the board worked together well into the evening to create a scaled back, affordable version of the picnic. We are excited to once again be meeting in person and I personally can’t wait to see all your faces again.

The BBQ will still be free of charge to members of NHBA and the affiliate clubs. We will still be having our traditional smoker contest (starting at 10 AM sharp) . Members of the Department of Agriculture as well as our New Hampshire Apiary Inspector have all been invited to join us. Allen from Hillside Beekeeping supplies will be vending and we will have a special sale on NHBA T-shirts. Our special guest speaker will be Sam Comfort from Anarchy Apiaries.

The changes are as follows:

Catering had to be shelved due to budget constraints, A traditional hamburger hotdog cookout will be provided. We ask that those attending bring a side or dessert that they would like to share with their fellow club members.

A raffle has been organized to help recoup some of the expenses associated with a free event. The raffle will include a local nucleus colony as well as local queens from some of our NH queen breeders, so wear your lucky socks!

Coronavirus was hard on all of us and I am proud of this organization and its membership’s ability to sustain during the restrictions associated with the pandemic. The time has finally come for food and fellowship, so everyone grab a chair, your sunscreen and some cash for the raffle and I’ll see you on the 29th.
